We For Her Initiative
We-for-her Agriculture team conducted a learning and research visit.
Agriculture is one of the vocational skills we train our beneficiaries at We-For-Her Initiative, the organization intends to strengthen the improvement of Agriculture activities in our community through establishment of a Modern Community Centered Demonstration Farm to enhance animal and crop production and implementation of the We-For-Her Women led community cluster farming system.
We-For-Her Agriculture team led by the Executive Director (Ms. Josephine Nambassa) conducted a learning and research visit to one of the Demonstration gardens established by Holland Green Tech Limited.
The purpose of this visit was;-
To acquire more knowledge and skills required for establishing a modern community centred Demonstration garden.
To make research on the new improved crop seed varieties.
To learn more about soil types and how best soils can be managed and improved.
To learn more about the best and affordable practices of maintaining crop gardens during different seasons.
To improve the capacity of our Organization Agriculture experts in establishing and maintaining a modern demonstration garden.
To research and learn about the easiest and affordable irrigation methods that can be adopted by local farmers in our community.
We appreciate Holland Greentech Ltd. Agriculture experts for facilitating both theory and practical learning sessions.
